In 2024, I spearheaded the Family Production. Through this program, we were able to elevate 15 campers and 23 youth actors into the full production environment. Each production had 1-4 community Artistic Mentors who performed alongside and guided our students into the general Bay Area theatre community.
ANNIE
In July 2025, I continued the Family Production programming at One Stage Theatre. This year’s production of ANNIE comprised of 15 students and Bay Area theatre artists Nikki Liv Basas, Max O. Chang, Thomas Nguyen, and LaTisha Rodriguez as our community mentors. Together, we focused on the themes of wealth, family, and the dynamics between rich and poor, with inspiration from the 1999 film.
SHREK JR.
In July 2024, I made my musical directorial debut with One Stage Theatre and directed the summer Family Production of Shrek Jr.! I led my cast of 23 students and actor and theatre technician community mentor Ryder Hom in a non-traditional take of the beloved fairy tale, steering away from the romantic story and towards a platonic relationship, and focusing on the self reflective definition of true love.
